Jun. 12, 2008Cancerbero 0.6-4 is only a Debian/Ubuntu bugfix package release. If you don't use one of this distributions, this update is not for you. If you use Debian or Ubuntu and installing cancerbero hangs forever you are affected.
BUG: From Debian testing (lenny) and Ubuntu 8.04, ucf has been updated to solve some bugs interacting with debconf. The collateral effects are that a lot of deb packagers, that like me, were using ucf in a wrong way didn't noticed it until the ucf update. Now the installation works again in Debian Lenny and Ubuntu 8.04.
BUG: Small issues when removing and purging the package, some files were leaving in the filesystem. Everything is remove when purging now.
Cancerbero 0.6-4 can be download here∞. Check the Quick Config Manual for a step by step minimum config.
Documentation for Cancerbero 0.6.x is in progress and is not complete now but we are working on it. Have a look to the Config Manual for updates.
As in old versions, we are very interested in your opinions/suggestions about Cancerbero. The Forums∞ is the appropriate place to do it and share your feeling with other Cancerbero users.
